HOPE MISSIONS SPRING BREAK (2012)

Farmdale Baptist Church is excited to be hosting a NEW Spring Break Mission opportunity through HOPE Missions from April 9th-12th, 2012. We will be working with a local apartment complex, providing a camp experience for refugee children and clearing overgrowth from the property. SUMMER MISSION PROJECT

An annual mission project of our church is a home makeover for a family in our community that does not have the means to repair and renovate their home. Furniture and possessions are moved to the church gym for cleaning and storage during the week. Then the sweat and toil begins as areas at the house needing to be rebuilt are torn out. Cleaning and preparation for painting begins while rebuilding begins to take place. Landscaping and various other improvements take place over the course of the week. Some church members prepare 3 meals a day to serve the work crew. Others make contributions toward the purchase of construction supplies, paint, and home furnishings which need to be replaced. Volunteers come and go during the week to help out as their schedules allow. By the end of the week 75-100 people skilled and non skilled, adults and youth have provided 1500-2000 hours of labor to complete the project.
